Mary Monson Motoring Law Defence

Mary Monson Solicitors started representing people in connection with driving offences in the late 1970s, and we have developed our Motoring Law arm into a national practice.

We now represent people accused of any motoring offence, including speeding and excess alcohol, and have represented many clients for serious offences involving allegations of dangerous driving and serious car accidents.

We have included free detailed, plain English guides of every common type of motoring offence on this website. Just click the relevant offence on the left toolbar. These also include case studies of some of our recent cases.

Our motoring lawyers have represented people from all walks of life in recent years, including full time parents, notable professionals, and recently even an international Porsche series racing driver. Our lawyers cover all of England and Wales, and we appear regularly in courts in major cities such as London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as in the North East and Yorkshire, Wales, and the West Country.

We challenge breathalyser devices, speed cameras and laser prosecutions regularly and successfully, and have an outstanding record at saving the driving licences of people who incur twelve points.

Cases we have acted in have received national attention, and our work has occasionally been featured by motoring columnist ‘Judge Tread’ in the Sunday Mirror (http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/...)

We are recognised by Safe Speed (www.safespeed.co.uk), the national campaign for a sensible approach to speed limits, as ‘experts in motoring law’.

We recognise that most people summoned to court for a motoring offence have usually never been involved in the justice system, and we fight to protect their interests, and are sensitive to the stress and frustration that a prosecution for a motoring offence can bring.

Some people feel that lawyers are not always aware that a driving ban can feel like a prison sentence for people who need to drive for their job or for their family life.

Our goal is to offer a service that delivers results. We work hard and we want to win for our clients.

We operate on a fixed fee basis (click 'Our fees' on the left hand toolbar for more info), and always keep our costs realistic.

If you would like to have a free telephone consultation about your case call us now on Freephone 0808 155 4870, and ask to speak to one of our Motoring Law specialists.

Please click the offences on the toolbar on the left of this screen for examples of cases we have fought for our clients, and a free brief guide to each offence and relevant defences.
