FAQS

Frequently asked questions

You don't always have to have an appointment to see us, but it's a good idea to at least phone ahead. This way we can make sure that one of our London criminal solicitors is definitely available when you arrive. If you can call to make an appointment, it will help us make sure that you get to see the most qualified lawyer for your type of case. We can also see you by secure and encrypted videocall. This is often even easier to arrange at short notice.

Our London office is in the heart of legal London, close to Temple Church, scenes from the novel and film The Da Vinci Code are set. This is the area where most barristers' chambers are based.

Close by is EL Vino's, the wine bar and restaurant perhaps most famous for being the inspiration for Rumpole of the Bailey's 'Pommeroy's Wine Bar'. It was also a filming location for parts of the iconic BBC TV series.

For anyone brave enough to tackle central London traffic, our office can be reached via Fleet Street and the Strand. Parking may sometimes be available nearby on Carey Street and around Lincoln’s Inn Fields, but availability is limited. If you need to drive for accessibility reasons and are concerned about access, please let us know in advance. We can usually arrange parking and a conference room in nearby barristers’ chambers.

Our London office is within easy walking distance of Chancery Lane (Central line), Holborn (Central and Piccadilly lines), and Temple (District and Circle lines). City Thameslink is also close by, less than ten minutes’ walk away. Several bus routes stop nearby at the Royal Courts of Justice and Aldwych, with the Royal Courts of Justice stop being the closer of the two.

Our Fleet Street office where our London criminal lawyers work is in the city's legal district. It is close to major Crown Courts, including the Old Bailey and Blackfriars Crown Court. Our building backs onto the Royal Courts of Justice where appeals take place. Westminster Magistrates' Court is ten minutes by cab.

We are close to the City of London Police's headquarters at the Guildhall and our London criminal solicitors regularly represent clients at Bishopsgate police station and at Wood Street, typically in fraud and financial crime investigations.

We have two meeting rooms for clients, but the building has no lift so is not wheelchair accessible.

We have alternative arrangements in place nearby for any of our clients who need wheelchair access. Please just call and let us know and we will be happy to set this up for your arrival.
